2012-2013 Board of Directors

During the 37th Annual Educational Conference held in Las Vegas, the membership elected a new Board of Directors to serve for the 2012-2013 year.

Graham Sheen assumes the position of NMIA President and Chuck Kocian is the NMIA Vice-President. Please support them as they plan the 2013 Mid-Year Round Table and the 38th Annual Educational Conference. Planning the conference requires a lot of dedication.

The 2013 Mid-Year Round Table for directors and managers is being held in San Antonio, TX on January 31. As in the past, the round table will follow an open forum format. As the round table approaches, a request for topics will be sent. This is an excellent opportunity to share ideas and ask questions of your peers.

Be a Part of the Board

During the Annual Educational Conferences, the NMIA elects a new Board of Directors to lead the association for the coming year. The primary responsibilities of the board are the planning and execution of the Mid-Year Round Talble and the Annual Educational Conferences. The NMA strives to have a broad range of media news companies respresented on the board.

If you would like to help with planning the conferences, including selecting topics and conference locations, please volunteer to be a director at the next conference.

 
New Board of Directors

During the 36th Annual Educational Conference held in San Diego, the membership elected a new Board of Directors to serve for the 2011-2012 year.

Retiring from the board were Kevin Schmitz, Damon Deck, and Katie Scalia. The current board would like to thank each of them for their efforts.

Micheal Sears assumes the position of NMIA President and Graham Sheen is the NMIA Vice-President. Please support them as they plan the 2012 Mid-Year Round Table and the 37th Annual Educational Conference. Planning the conference requires a lot of dedication.

New to the Board this year are Jill Kaner, Eric Henderson, and Renee Campellone.

 
36th Educational Conference

2011 - 36th Educational Conference

Registration is now closed for our 2011 - 36th Annual Educational Conference in San Diego, CA.

The conference will start on Tuesday August 2 with an optional staff training session lead by Danny Goldberg. Tuesday will also feature the Director Round Table - open to all managers and directors.

The general sessions begin Wednesday August 3 with our keynote speaker - Vince Lombardi Jr. Vince will present "Coaching for Teamwork". The schedule includes topics covering internal audit, fraud and IT. Please check the Speakers & Topics page for a complete listing of conference sessions.

Our Wednesday night group activity is an evening with the San Diego Padres at Petco Park. The Padres will be taking on the Los Angeles Dodgers. Petco Park is located close to the Hotel Solamar.
